Nominations Committee Candidate List Finalized

2019 is an election year for IBA Council. This year, there are three Officer positions: President, Vice-President (Americas), and Treasurer, and two Council positions open. The term for each position is 3-years, begins on January 10th, 2020 and ends on January 9th, 2023. In accordance with the bylaws, a nominations committee was formed in May 2019 by the IBA President and a member nominations period for members to nominate candidates was open for 30 days from August 9th August 9th through September 8th, 2019 midnight CEST.  The open member nomination period was open to all IBA members with current membership. On August 9th, 2019, an email was sent to all current IBA members  announcing the open nomination period and providing instructions how to nominate. Two candidates were nominated by IBA members for the 2019 election. For specifics on voting and nominating eligibility please refer to the IBA Bylaws.

The Chair of the IBA nominations committee was Frank van Manen and members included Marta De Barba, Alex Kopatz, and Martyn Obbard.  Please don’t hesitate to contact any candidates with questions or to find out more about who they are and why they are running for IBA Council.

  This year we will be our second year using the IBA membership system for electronic voting. To access the electronic ballot, your membership needs to be current. Anyone who is a dues-paying or complimentary member of the IBA at the time that election ballots are sent out is eligible to vote in an election, with the exception that those people joining IBA for the first-time, as well as those whose memberships have been expired for ≥3 years must establish membership ≥3 months (August 15th, 2019) prior to the distribution of ballots to have voting privileges.
