The election closed on 15 December 2022 at 23:59 Central European Time (time zone of IBA Secretary). Results will be announced soon on this page and in an email to current IBA members.

The 2022 IBA Election for your Council will open this coming November. This year, there are three Officer positions: President, Vice-President (Americas), and Treasurer, and two Council positions open. The term for each position is 3-years, begins on January 10^th, 2023 and ends on January 9^th, 2026. In accordance with the IBA bylaws, a nominations committee was appointed by the IBA President this past March. The Chair of the nominations committee was Agnieszka Sergiel with members Djuro Huber and Martyn Obbard. The committee finalized their list of candidates at the end of May with inclusion of the list in the Summer 2022 IBN. Candidates nominated during the membership nomination period will be included in the Fall 2022 IBN for archival purposes. All candidate statements will be available on the website in early fall of 2022. Emails were sent to all current IBA members prior to the opening of the member nomination period. 

Member Nomination Period:
The member nomination period opened on 1 August 2022 and closes on 31 August 2022. A member can self-nominate or nominate another member if the nominee’s membership is current, they have agreed to run for office and agrees to serve if elected. To nominate a member, please email the IBA Secretary, Alex Kopatz  no later than 31 August 2022 with the nominee’s name, email, and Council position they are being nominated for. The Secretary will contact all nominees to certify that they agree to run and serve if elected, and their names will be placed on the ballot with the candidates from the nomination committee.

Balloting:
Voting will be done electronically through our online membership system. Voting will open between the 1st and 20th of November, 2022. As the election approaches, we will provide instructions and all necessary information via emails and published on our website.

Member Voting Eligibility:
All dues paying members are eligible to vote if they meet the requirements in the IBA Bylaws. Anyone joining IBA for the first-time or whose membership has been expired for  3 or more years, must establish membership at least 3 months prior to the distribution of ballots. The election will close on 15 December 2022 at 23:59 Central European Time (time zone of IBA Secretary) as specified in the IBA Bylaws. Please log in to your IBA membership account and verify that you have provided us with your current email address and your membership is current. If your email address is current and you still have not received any emails, then you will need to check with email account system and verify that our emails are not going to your junk folder.
